The end of the year is upon us, and what a year 2019 has been for Nutty Amber Videos.

I would love to share my story with you and give some shout outs to the people who have helped me on my way…..

I decided at the beginning of the year that I needed to rebrand the business and create a new website to go along with it.   The first step was to find the perfect person for the job, which is when I found Natalie Lacon from Lacon Design. Admittedly, the project took longer than I first anticipated, but Natalie was incredibly patient and helpful when it came to making the important decisions. In October, we finally launched the new website and branding, which has played a huge part in me and my business becoming more visible.

I also set myself a challenge at the beginning of the year to expand my networking circles.  I have been a member of local networking groups for a while, however I felt a pull towards London, and I am now a proud member of Athena Central London.  Women’s networking has been invaluable to me as a female entrepreneur, not only for gaining clients, but for inspiration, motivation, learning, confidence building, collaboration amongst many other things.  I’ve also joined a local mixed networking group, as I think it’s so important to keep stepping outside your comfort zone in order to learn and grow.

Through the new networking, I have built so many great relationships with other business owners, and it has led me to collaborating with a few experts in other fields.  My first collaboration is with Andreea Tufescu Photography.  We will be running an amazing value photo/video day in February for business owners who want their online presence to be more professional, and need quality photo and video content.

I am also collaborating with two voice coaches, which allows me to help clients with their on camera presence during shoots, ensuring that I can create the most effective video possible. In early 2020, I am going to be launching some packages based around this, so watch this space!

One of the biggest learning curves for me this year, is that you can’t do everything on your own!   Some people find it difficult to admit that they can’t do it all, myself included, but since outsourcing I can see how much my company has grown.  After months of working hard on my social media, I started to realise what great returns and exposure I got from it but as my business grew, I couldn’t juggle everything. This is when Amber Mountain Marketing came in to save me.  Getting support with social media and marketing has been a real game changer for me, it has given me more time to focus on other aspects of the business and use my time much more effectively.

The main achievement of this year for me is the amazing clients I have had the privilege to work with.  Among the most memorable jobs are filming an event on mental health in schools, for Herts County Council and the NHS and creating a promo video for Every Step Matters, which is an amazing charity for young people. It is always an honour to work on projects that are doing good in the world and are really transforming people’s lives.

I am so thankful for all the opportunities and support I have received this year and I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for Nutty Amber Videos!
